Originally from Venezuela, Alex Capote grew a chemistry with the island of Ibiza after spending some time there back in 2007. He decided to move there a year later. He nourished his passion for art and aesthetics exploring subjects such as cinema, theater and design. He developed his crisp, multicultural and authentic approach to style during his numerous travels around the globe. Now considering Ibiza as his main playground for 15 years, he never stops appreciating its versatility and authenticity.

By creating Capote Eyewear in 2016, Alex merged two of his leading passions: design and responsible craftsmanship. The brand delivers a unique and personal vision of tailor-made eyewear thanks to his high consideration on the power of details. Its value proposition is enhanced by meticulous attention to unstandardized proposals and infinite possibilities. To get the brand to this level, Alex explored nonconformist design paths and transgress standard scenarios.
